Nursery and nappy rash

My DS 14 months has come home from nursery screaming in pain from nappy rash. It has taken us two hours to calm him down, taking his nappy off and giving him pain relief. His bottom is raw and bleeding.

This isn’t the first time that his bottom has gone from fine in the morning to red raw by pick up. I’ve asked them to apply cream as he is susceptible to nappy rash, and they’re saying they have done, but I don’t understand how it can get so bad over one day.

He has a day with me tomorrow so I will hopefully be able to get on top of it but I really don’t want to send him Wednesday, but I have no choice as I need to work!

AIBU to think they must be leaving him to sit around wet or dirty? The app says they are changing regularly but I don’t see how they can be?

I would take a picture of the rash and make a complaint.

Do you provide nappies or do they? Could it be being made worse by their choice of nappies and wipes?

We provide wipes and nappies, but he quite often comes home in a different brand or size so I don’t think they are always used. This is something I’ve mentioned to them before.
