Neighbours Ringdoor overlooks my home

I live in a HA property and my neighbours Ringdoor bell overlooks my home.

I know this as when I had my grandparents over from abroad she mentioned to me “Oh your grandparents have been visiting”.
She wasn’t even home when they visited so obviously she saw it on the Ring.

I hate living here as neighbour is so nosey and questions and asks a lot of intrusive questions.
I hate talking to her to be honest as she just talks everyone’s business.

We feel as if we have no privacy here at all.

I had a letter come through from HA who are doing a walk about of the area from the Neighbourhood Officer, is it worth mentioning the issue with the Ringdoor bell?

We have one but it only records our own home.

Have you asked your neighbour to adjust the camera? That might be all it needs.

Yes I have asked her when she first got it.

If she records public space then she has to do so in a UK Data Protection Regulations compliant way. That means you are entitled to my a SAR for any personal data she has collected of you including your image, and you can request deletion of your personal data. You can do this on a weekly basis if you wanted to.

Mostly people aren't aware that although they can record with personal CCTV systems, there are regulations to comply with.

Hi so I can just sent her letter?

She can adjust it so it doesnt record your property. Im an HA tenant and live in a flat and would love one of these. Because when the HA contractors dont turn up but lie that they did and i didnt allow access i would be able to prove otherwise.
