Finding it impossible to login to my LinkedIn account

A few months ago I started setting up a LinkedIn account. At some point when I went to login I had a message saying my account had been temporarily restricted as a precaution and I had to go through steps to verify my identity. I can’t remember exactly what I had to do as it was a while ago but I still haven’t got access to my account and my profile is half finished so it would look really rubbish to anyone who looks me up on there.

Ive just tried to login again and I’ve been prompted to select an image that’s the right way up about 4 times and asked to verify my identity. But when I click the ‘verify with Persona’ button I just get a message telling me I’ve already submitted a request and there’s no option do anything else.

So I’m now stuck with an account that looks like I have next to no work experience and seemingly no way to get into it again.

I can’t understand why it has to be so difficult. Has anyone had this issue before and if so how did you manage to get back into your account?

Yes I have had the problem as you describe @MorningLarkEchoes about 3 days ago. I'd go so far as to say that LinkedIn security is utterly broken, all I wanted to do was to add a graphic for a conference I attended this week and I wish I'd never started!

This may or may not be relevant to you, but for me I found it is exponentially increases if you use LinkedIn on several devices. It kept picked up that I use it on my phone and tablet and sent me spurious messages.

Do you know your password? If so, it is 1000 times easier than if you don't.

Because I did t know my password (as I never need to use it), I ended up with a gazzilion emails with codes it wanted me to enter, then it just gets itself into an inexplicable loop, sending me photos of a bull or a cow to select the one that's the right way up.

ive emailed them to help me change my email address on my account as it wouldn't let me do that.

if I were you, send an email to their customer service with what you want to achieve and what happens when you try. They might be able to help you reset your password, as it sounds like exactly the same sequence of events I had.
