Hi all ! I’m currently 17st the heaviest I’ve ever been im between 5’6-5’7 and need to start loosing weight I want to loose 1-2 stone by October 1st (this doesn’t mean my journey will end there it’s just a target)
im constantly down and depressed over my body
last year I was just on 14 st and since being in a relationship have gained 3 stone my partner is a feeder he loves food and constantly encourages me to eat with him which I don’t say no to because I’m to ashamed to begin explaining why
at this moment in time I can’t afford to go gym so home work outs , meal ideas will help
I try to not eat to unhealthy however I’m a sucker for crisps 😂 I used to binge eat and slowly find my self falling back into those habbits and I’m not sure how to fix it any advice is deeply appreciated TIA x

Night time is definitely my downfall too!
I can eat healthy all day long second it’s night time all the orgess goes straight down the bin
will definitely invest in your suggestions thank you c

I brush my teeth after dinner! Works in two ways not tempted to snack, only drink water after and the minty taste seems to stop me wanting sweet things

Sorry to echo but mounjaro literally changed my life. I lost 6.5 stone and am like a different person. Nothing else worked. Of course I’m now terrified of putting weight back on now I’m no longer on the injections but it’s easier to maintain than lose I think. No diet came close to mounjaro as I was just hungry and thinking about food 24/7

Not to hijack but I’ve always wanted to ask this because I don’t know… did you feel the weight loss came from it literally curbing your appetite and food noise and there for you lost weight purely due to calorie deficit or so you feel like it made you lose the weight quicker than you would have if you’d ate less calories anyway…. I’m not explaining well… so you know what I mean? Also congratulations that’s an amazing achievement! Well done you! ❤️

At the beginning of March I weighed just over 17 stone. I was mortified as Im 5ft 7. So I started to try and eat a bit healthier. For breakfast I've started eating porridge made with skimmed milk and topped with slices of strawberry/blueberries/banana (whatever I've got in the fridge). It fills me up really and releases energy slowly so I'm not hungry really at lunchtime. I might have a bowl of home made soup and some fruit. Then in the evening I eat a sensible sized meal of protein, a small amount of carbs and lots of veg. I've stopped buying crisps and at the weekend drink gin & slimline tonic rather than wine. It's coming off slow and steady. I went for a swim yesterday as I thought I'd now do some exercise. I've lost just over a stone so far and want to try and lose another 2. Don't go mad with changes, just try and find something you can stick to. Explain to your other half that you're doing some healthy eating for the summer. Good luck.

If I were you I would try and get WLI.
But otherwise I'd say counting calories and cutting carbs and upf obviously will help.

You'd probably want to have 1600 calories or less per day. But you can break it down into however many meals you like. Some people like to eat very regularly, others only once or twice daily.

I don't like breakfast so I'd have like 200 cals for that, then 500 for lunch and 800 for dinner, with 100 cals for snacks. But that's just an example.

You can still have a pack of crisps (150 cals or less) a day within that if that's your favourite thing. If you deny yourself things too severely I find it makes me get bingey and obsessed.

Make sure you drink loads of water as well. X

Couch to 5k is great op. My mum was a size 24 did the couch to 5k and built up to running 5k 5 days a week. Just take things one day at a time, running is great for mental health aswell. I think you are right to ignore the monjaro comments. Trying to lose weight needs to be a mindset change not a quick fix and the side affects coming out are very concerning. I find if I buy crap I will eat it so a good tip is not to buy it then you look in the cupboard it's not there to eat! You can do it slow and steady.
