For me I was cautious so probably didn't pick him up from the floor till around 4/5 weeks. That doesn't mean I didn't help him climb in the car or up the barstool as an assistance from about 1 week.

You will know in yourself how your healing, I had some really tender days when even them cuddling me was tender.

It’s so frustrating, he is really feeling it he’s still a little baby himself and doesn’t understand why I’m not how I was before ! He’s started biting and hitting me which so isn’t like him ! I just want to pick him up and let him know nothings changed in that way! I did pick him up today and now my lower belly is so sore ! X

For me it was about 5 weeks until I felt fully confident in lifting him up but he was 3 and understood a little bit more that my tummy was sore.
Otherwise I got him to carefully come sit with me for hugs and made sure we did activities together like puzzles and games that he enjoyed.
It's so hard as Iike you are saying they are so little and everything has just changed!

It’s so hard isn’t it, I look at my 2 year old when he’s asleep and just feel so guilty he’s really feeling it bless him and I don’t know how to make it better for him xxx

It’s so so hard! I’ve just had a cry because I’m 3 days post emergency c section and in agony and can’t even cuddle my other baby (one this week) because she’s a wrecking ball right now and I’m terrified I will end up hurt. Hoping it gets better because I didn’t anticipate a c section and thought I’d just breeze back into parenthood.
