i need everyone’s recommendations on TV shows to watch whilst I can’t do anything for the next eight weeks. I had a fall last week and completely snapped my ulnar and my radius and broke my wrist I had surgery on it to plate and screw the 2 bones back together and now I’m not allowed to do anything at all for the next 8 weeks I’ve only been home since Friday and I’m already bored. Thank you for any recommendations.

Rivals - Disney+

Binged both. Easy, feel good tv.

Wishing you a good recovery

My DH and I love ashes to ashes and life on mars the ending still gets me no matter how many times I watch it. I’ve not watched Fraiser in a long time.

The best thing I have ever watched is Stranger Things. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I loved it

Dept Q on Netflix is excellent! (Solving old crimes)

OliveWah · 30/06/2025 19:38

I would also highly recommend Severance, such an unusual concept.

Handmaids Tale (Netflix)
Snowpiercer (Netflix)
Your Friends and Neighbors (Apple)
The Crow Girl (Paramount)
Dexter (the original series, then New Blood, then Original Sin, all on Paramount, and a new series; Resurrection coming on the 11th July)
Silo (Apple)

GivingUpFinally · 30/06/2025 19:40

Re watching Dexter
Currently watching The Godfather of Harlem and it's fucking brilliant so far

kpfragglesrock · 30/06/2025 19:43

The Brokenwood Mysteries
The Chelsea Detective (both on Sky)

Clarkson’s Farm (Prime)

shellyleppard · 30/06/2025 19:43

This is us is lovely. Hope you feel better soon x

OliveWah · 30/06/2025 19:45

A few other random thoughts...

The Residence (Netflix)
You (Netflix)
The Gentleman (Netflix)
Clarkson's Farm (Amazon Prime)

I also really like Below Deck, but it's not for everyone - a bit of rich people on yachts escapism!

Patcherdog · 30/06/2025 19:50

There are some excellent tv series on Walter Presents on Channel 4 if you don't mind subtitles and it's all free.
