To hate flying ant day

Ugh ugh ugh

I hate it when they all come out. They are swarming literally everywhere and in the space of being out 20 mins I've been divebombed like 20 times. One flew into my eye, another down my top! Huge nests everywhere too. I love the heat but hate flying ants. Ive had to check i haven't carried any hitchhikers indoors. Ugh.

Omg is it today? I've not seen any around here yet (west London). I remember a couple of years ago,I very nearly sat on a swarm of them that were on a wall at the bus stop!

I'm in West London too and am now worried about having left open some windows at home... I hope they don't get in 😭

The birds love it! It gets a lot of this year’s chicks through their early days as fledglings.

It is here (south coast). I can relate...my dog sat in a nest lol.

Years ago in my parents house there was some sort of pipe issue and I remember opening the toilet lid to a swarm of them. It was awful.

Yes, we have a nest exploding out of the greenhouse wall, mother Robin has positioned her newly hatched babies on the apex of the wall for a steady stream of food.

Just taken them in a saucer of water to wash them down.

That's something out of a nightmare..

It’s definitely timed by mother nature to coincide with the time the fledglings are at their hungriest. Makes me sad to see the people who pour boiling water on the ants.
