Hi all
i listed a family member’s car on gumtree, she can no longer drive as had dementia diagnosis.
today i’ve had a text message from a number saying “a gumtree customer is interested in buying your car, click the link”. When i click the link it takes me to the gumtree login page and when i login there is a page saying
”Sell your product securely and confidently on Gumtree.Gumtree has partnered with a secure payment provider (Online Payment Platform, OPP) to allow you to sell your product safely and simply on our website.Before you can sell your product on Gumtree, you need to activate Secure Payments.”
then a link which when i click its asking for all sorts of personal details. I think its probably a scam but having never used gumtree before just wanted to check this isn’t a thing? Will attach some pics.
