To not always open my post straight away?

Sometimes I come in, chuck the letters on the side and before I know it there’s a little pile building up. I do come back to it, I’ve never missed anything important but I know some people open things the second they walk in the door. AIBU to think a bit of post procrastination is fine… as long as it gets done eventually?

Stuff I recognise and know what it's going to be, I don't open immediately.

If it's something I don't recognise then I open it and quickly scan through it.

I would usually open and deal with it properly (whether that be filing it, shredding it or adding it to the to-do pile) with my after-dinner cuppa.
