Bit of a long one sorry!
Starting with stomach pain last Saturday, at first thought it was constipation/wind or similar however no improvement so booked a Drs appointment for the Thursday.
Dr was concerned and sent me straight to hospital with suspected appendicitis.
Had bloods, urine tests done at hospital all came back OK, so hospital said they suspect ovarian cyst that has ruptured. They said they wouldn't be able to scan me until the next day, so sent me home with codeine and told me not eat/drink anything in case of surgery.
They eventually rang me at 2pm the next day and told me my scan would not be today so I can now eat until midnight and then wait for phone call the following day.
So yesterday finally got a phone call, had a ultrasound, and an internal, all that came back ok. More bloods taken, again came back ok. Meanwhile the pain in my stomach has subsided quite a bit.
Dr says they want me to have CT scan to rule out appendicitis. The CT team refuse this saying they don't see a need. So I was admitted overnight and the CT scan was requested again but to the night time team.
Been here all night and currently here now with no update other than you may get a scan today, still on nil by mouth so starving, and I've had no pain relief since lunchtime yesterday and I'm only in very little pain. Plus to confuse things I've been placed on a trauma ward! Would you just go home? Surely if appendicitis I'd be dead by now!

Oh I know it's shit OP but you're in there now so I'd advise you to stay and get any tests offered.

I waited 18 months to get tests and a minor operation after an 'urgent referral'.

Hang in there Flowers
