Please don’t shame me for being worried, I’m not the most educated person and I am a worrier. Are we going to have a war? I am so scared…

Massively unlikely.

Not at the moment

MsNevermore · 26/06/2025 20:37

We are a military family and I’ve had endless texts from friends and family over the past week asking “omg is this ww3? Will Mr Nevermore be deployed?”

And I’m just like 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ “your guess is as good as ours mate” 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
And if he does end up being deployed, we will be the last people to know about it 🫠

So many posts like this over the last few days. Most likely no, but no-one can tell anyone for sure what will happen in the future. Just enjoy your life and avoid news if you’re anxious.

@Worried76579 Nope. Two of my adult children are in the military…won’t say where, or which service.
They are not concerned in the slightest. They have briefs pretty often, they know their missions/roles and what the objectives for the day are.
Believe me when I say there’s a lot of ‘tit for tat’ ridiculousness from all sides.
That’s world leaders for you. A lot of stuff we will never get to hear about. Nor should we.
Of course, it’s totally natural to worry.
There have always been wars; there shouldn’t be, and many, many innocent citizens have suffered terrible traumas as a result.

This.

I’ve even had one friend asking me if she should cancel her holiday to Turkey 🫠🫠
As if I’ve got some insider information purely because my DH is serving in the US military 🤨😂😂😂

I just told her that until the moment comes that the UK government tell you 100% not to travel to certain countries, go on your bloody holiday, have a drink and relax!

normalisnotme · 26/06/2025 21:00

If women are called up im only going to war if there is very attractive men with big guns.

WiganWheel · 26/06/2025 21:05
