Carpet ? Dog smell

you know when you have your carpets cleaned and they smell of wet dog? What’s the solution please? Get then cleaned professionally?

Febreeze and airing

Dehumidifier until thoroughly dry. If still whiffy, I’ve used bicarbonate of soda and left it overnight. Rewetting agitates the smell again. Have you had them professionally cleaned already, or done them yourself with something?
