Ugh just that really. I feel like I'm constantly meh, don't feel like myself, I know it's menopause but I'm sick of iy. I can't have HRT so it's just a case of wait it out but uuuuuuugggghhh

If you are not sure, then it's definitely a cuddle you need. I hope you have some support and remember to be kind to yourself ❤️

Team Cuddle here! If you beat up on yourself, your amygdala kicks off and you can't think straight and feel worse... Start by being kind to yourself, this will switch off the stress response. Then you can start to deal with things calmly.

If you had a child or animal feeling like you do, would you scold them? Or would you care for them lovingly? That. Do that for yourself.

Here's one to start: 🤗

A bit of both. A cuddle and then a mental slap to get going.

Having been in the same position I can empathise. Try not to get stressed (although I'm not sure how)!

Thanks all. I think I always see giving myself a cuddle or looking after myself as being lazy and that I might slip into depression. I think I'm too much about tough love!

Oh OP sending you a virtual hug 🤗 you definitely don't need a slap. Be kind to yourself and do whatever you can to make yourself feel better. Some things that work for me - having a warm bubble bath and then getting into comfiest pj's (even if it's only 4pm sometimes!) going for a walk in the woods, I love the peace and quiet and being in nature definitely helps calm my nervous system. Calling one of my good friends for a catch up or watching something funny and uplifting, in bed, with snacks!

A cuddle and a reassuring word always beats a slap and a telling off imo! You are allowed to feel meh when things are tough op, take it easy and have a cup of tea x

KPPlumbing · 26/06/2025 08:43

You've had plenty of cuddles, so here's a slap, just in case đź‘‹

I can’t take Hrt either so I know how you feel.
