I forgot to do it before I went out this afternoon to meet friends and have dinner,
got home, remembered & now the laundry will get “darked on” & spiders will rub their willies on it, right? #MumsnetGospel

It’s the spider webs across the pegs that seem to join each item on the line into a concourse of stickiness. Gotta marvel at that!

Not sure which vote is which, but I leave my washing out overnight quite often in the summer. So I voted YANBU to have hung it out.

Two evil earwigs asleep in a towel I left out overnight.

We get slug trails on our clothes if we leave them out overnight. They're really obvious on black clothes especially.

We use airers rather than a high washing line though so maybe you'll be OK!
