To use a spoon to butter bread?

I don’t have a butter knife and a few weeks ago I didn’t have a clean normal knife either so I used a spoon to butter my bread and it was a revelation.
Now the back of the spoon is my go to method-I get better coverage and no ripping of the bread.
I made some toast at work the other day and colleagues looked at me as I was weird. I tried to explain the advantages so maybe they will try it for themselves in the privacy of their homes and be converted.
But I thought I’d share on here and hopefully improve people’s packed lunch making experience.

Go for it! Anything that makes life easier is valid!!!

My friend revolutionised my life when they taught me to cut pizza slices with kitchen scissors! So much easier than a knife or pizza cutter .

Definitely this

I used a cheese slice yesterday because the butter was too cold from the fridge. I recommend!

Yes my granny in the Caribbean used a spoon

I used to think what is she doing!
but now, I always use a spoon

I spoon buttered my crumpets.

Not a euphemism 🤣

Game changer, thank you! I also used the cheese slicer on the butter. Great idea.

This is going to blow your minds, you can buy liquid butter, well butter based spread.

back of spoon for spreading I discovered camping many moons ago when I forgot my knives! I’ve also been known to stir salt or sugar with a fork 😱, I find it’s better than a spoon!

I do it too. The heated spoon comment was brilliant.
