To ask if Tesco are still coming?

I had a delivery due in the 8pm to 9pm slot - no sign and no word from Tesco so I rang up just before the phone lines closed at 10 pm to be told that the driver had called in sick so my delivery was on a different van and they couldn't track where it was but it was definitely coming tonight. It's now edging closer towards midnight, I have to be up early for work tomorrow but am still sitting up waiting. I've tried googling other people's experiences and all I've found is someone who waited up, it never turned up and they then got a message the following day saying that their order had been cancelled (and then had a wait to actually get their money back).

What are other people's experiences? Any chance they are still on their way? I'm hoping they are not going to turn up at 2 am and wake up all my neighbours! When can I safely get into my p-j's and try to get some sleep?

Yeah they’re coming but they said they’ll be nearer 3am.

I had a delivery go AWOL and they told me they don't deliver after 10 or 11 I think. So the forgotten delivery was coming, but they were very specific that it wouldn't be later than that.

Your delivery is not coming today, it’s almost midnight. I’m sure the driver would have finished his shift by now. As the customer phone lines are closed, you likely haven’t been updated.

Just go to bed and deal with it tomorrow, will likely be a redelivery next week

No, it is coming! I spoke to them. Alan is delivering it. Op needs to stay up

I don't think they deliver after 11pm.

They should have just cancelled your order although they must have some sort of a plan as it probably happens fairly regularly.
