11 month old and solids

Hey!!
so my 11month old doesn’t eat much solids, I say much I mean barely anything.
she will put absolutely everything I give her in her mouth chew and spit it out.

she will eats crisps and smoothie melts
chocolate buttons(rarely given)

she will eat any baby jar and I mean absolutely lap it up! ( which shows there nothing wrong with swallowing)
I did the whole baby jar thing with my first and never wanted to do it with my second but she won’t eat anything else! Even if I make a meal and pure it myself!

it’s so annoying.
my first never ate anything till about 2/2.5 so I know she’ll eventually get there. I just forgot how pigging stressful and annoying it is when they throw their food all over floor without trying it!
I know I been dramatic but I seriously feel like I’m been punished for something in a past life by having children that don’t eat 😂🤦‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️

someone tell me to man up and crack on cause I feel like I’m going insane!

All three of mine did the same. Grab, taste, spit throw, isn’t that pretty standard? My HV said it’s the way children learn about food and you have to let them go through this phase, with patience. She said to forget jars, crisps etc., and eventually they start eating what we eat.

I have to say that I was more relaxed with my third and almost without me noticing, she was eating what everyone else was having. She sat at the table with us and you could almost hear her thinking, I’ll have whatever they are having.

I can relate. It took my son ageeeesss to be interested in food.

I personally think it’s brilliant that she puts everything in her mouth even if she spits it out.

Will she eat baby food on her own? Or do you still feed her.

I try and do a 1/1/1 rule so

1 food I know he will eat (safe food)
1 new food
1 hit or miss food

Eventually he started to accept more and more

He is 2.5 now and still a bit fussy but has come along way

11 months is still so little xx

I know 11 months is still go small it just does my head in when it seems everyone’s kids around me eat so much so early on and mine just don’t haha.
i think I just needed a moan!
i started weaning at 5 month and she ate more then than she does now.
she sits at table with us to eat and i used to do 3 meals of solids but now i do 3 solids one purè so i know she’s eating something.

she’s still on 30oz of milk which i know is loads. HV came and said food first then bottle and if she’s still drinking 30oz it’s what she needs. Also HV said to up the snacks as I didn’t do snacks. Crisps fruit bread stick anything i think she will actually swallow.

I think deep down i know there ain’t a problem cause she is still little and it’ll just click one day that food will fill her. I just feel like we’re getting no where when in actual fact she is learning it’s just me been a mardy arse haha

My 3 year old is a pain in the arse too but is slowly trying things. I feel your frustration lol
