Estate Agents closed on Saturays

We have recently put our flat on the market. I didn't ask the question its true but I have just discovered the Agents don't open at the weekend. Surely that is when a lot of people looking to move are going to be free for viewings. AIBU?

Lots of estate agents don't, silly isn't it?

Good estate agents do open although you often find they have crap staff doing the viewings on weekends - the youngest most inexperienced ones.

I just did a quick google search because I’ve never not known an estate agents be closed on a Saturday. 11 came up and 19 of them are open tomorrow.
Seems strange some wouldn’t as it’s when a lot of people are free

Exactly Coconuttr - very strange. If I had thought to ask the question I would have gone with an Agent who did work weekends.

My experience is that they are all out hosting open days / viewings on Saturday albeit that's in London

Nitgel · 20/06/2025 17:55

Ours still did showings until 4.

They are mainly shut of Saturday round here - because vendors do their own viewings. So, they only need to be open to arrange the viewings, and hand over keys on completion ie M-F, 9-5.
