3 bedrooms and seems in alright condition from photos! Also cheaper than a lot of houses on rightmove! It is rural but we already live rurally in a smaller home.

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/163173038

Check out this 3 bedroom terraced house for sale on Rightmove

3 bedroom terraced house for sale in Burraness, Mossbank, Shetland, Shetland Islands, ZE2 for £69,000. Marketed by Auction House Scotland, Glasgow

Property with potential. If you're serious go see it.

Definitely got potential! Mostly cosmetic? Looks a lovely setting.

When you say rural, you do realise that this is halfway to Norway?

Do you (a) live on Shetland or (b) hope to move to Shetland?
If yes, go visit.

If (c) no, I live in Shropshire but this is cheaper than some other houses I've seen on Rightmove, this may not be the house for you.

I thought that wallpaper on pic 10 was Knight rider.

Slightly disappointed but hey, Han Solo isn't so bad.

Saz12 · 18/06/2025 23:56

If you want to live on Shetland, sure.

SeriouslyStressed · 19/06/2025 14:51

There’s rural and then there’s Shetland

The energy rating is shocking. It will be freezing in the winter if you don't spend ££ on insulation, new windows etc or whatever is necessary. It also only has storage heaters.... so there is presumably no boiler so air pump for heating and hot water to be installed?

This has got some guide costs but a local builder will be able to tell you if you have to pay a premium to get raw materials onto the island / only in the summer months or other variables.

It's all completely doable but it will be a project so I'd be getting proper quotes before undertaking it.
