I have brought a Hozelock hose pipe but the connector appears to be too small for my garden tap.

I have measured the tap outside as 1.5cm/ 15mm

The connector is 0.5cm/ 5mm

Any suggestions for a suitable connector please?

Where/ how have you measured?
1.5CM and 0.5CM are ridiculously small.

Have you got a picture of the hose connector? Is there not any info on the packaging it’s attached to?

Which bits have you measures A & B?

Because a threaded area of A , im struggling to see this being 1.5cm.

Don’t you just need one of these to put on the end of the hose and then fit to the tap?

That is the default connector for a push on hose.
You need to unscrew ring A, remove connector B and replace with the push/click one for the hose. These are available from any DIY/hardware store, garden center, supermarket (garden section), on-line etc and cost just £1 or so. Available in plastic or brass, the only part that wears out in time is the small rubber O-ring.

Hi everyone
I contacted Hozelock customer support and they advised me to take the ring thing of from the tap to connect, it is now working 😁.

Only issue now that it leaks from the tap so I have ordered plumbers tape to secure it more.
