Ask to go measure in the new house.
If they don't try and sell to your buyers.
If they're ikea they pull apart easily and go back up - you can build them uptight if you ignore the instructions a bit!
I think Kirstie Allsopp said you have to think about the cost of the whole house and compare it to that.

If they are fitted wardrobes they are usually included with the house sale, you would probably not be expected to remove them. That's been my experience as an estate agent.
If you intend to remove them make sure that is made clear to prospective buyers.
If they are too large for new property could a carpenter resize them?

That s life.

Move and get a carpenter to adjust
Or sell for half what you paid

Are you concerned about the height or width, or both?
