Child maintenance coming to an end

My ex husband hasn’t seen our child in 10 years (by choice). I didn’t take a single penny for the first 10 years of our child’s life. I then decided to pursue through the csm which for the best part wasn’t so hard. It’s coming to an end when our child officially is no longer able to receive it in August this year. There’s an attachment of earnings order in place but arrears of about £4K. In August what will happen to these arrears will the AOE stay in place for the same amount until the arrears are paid or will ex be able to offer a ridiculous monthly contribution? I’ve asked this to the CMS directly but they don’t seem to be able to give a clear answer and each person I speak to tells me something different? Be useful if anyone ever been in similar situation who could comment on here please?

I dont know the answer but I am following for my own situation. Current arrears are £29k. I’m sure I am never going to see

I had the same - 6k debt left when my son finished his education.

If I remember rightly, the AOE stopped and I had to fight with CMS to get it re-instated. Get the name of the case manager and only speak to them.

I actually told them to offer my ex a deal (pay off half in a lump sum) but he didn't respond to any letters or calls. My son is in his early 20's now and I receive 21 a week - he's still got about 3k left to pay.
