To feel ever so slightly traumatised

Asked my DD to put her laundry in a pile on her bedroom floor for me to just collect up, and take down to put in the washing machine.

Bent over, picked up the pile and as I was walking down the stairs with it a fucking mahoooooosive spider climbed out of it, dashed up my arm like Usain Bolt and ran across my face!!!!!!!!!!! 😳

Needless to say, I dropped the whole pile of washing down the stairs because I had to swipe the thing off me to get it away. It ran across the stair and stayed in the corner. I am pretty sure it must have been equally as traumatised. I am sure climbing up my face was not in his plans of things to do today!! 😂

I keep thinking about it and feeling 'icky' and getting a bit of a shiver down my spine. I am not petrified of spiders, thank god, but it was a bit of a shock nevertheless.

Don't worry, no spiders were harmed during this process, DH picked him up and popped him outside. 🕷

Poor you and poor spider! I was approaching a very dangerous roundabout the other day and a poor bumble bee flew in my window and landed on my arm. I freaked but somehow managed to get through the roundabout and to my (very close by thankfully) destination with the bee resting on the chair. When I stopped I had to coax it out - it wasn't well. If I'd had sugar water I'd have tried to revive it but I had nothing :(

That happened to me when I was a teenager, grabbing clothes from my floordrobe.I screamed and threw the clothes out of the open window (it was raining). I got a telling off from my boss at work for turning up in leggings and a T shirt, which was not in the workplace Dress Code. Spid had run away under my bed though, reappearing for Round Two a couple of nights later Grin
