Going to see Yungblud

I just bought tickets to go see Yungblud. I'm 62, well will be 63 when I go next year. I bought 2 tickets but nobody I know will want to go. None of my friends like him, neither do my kids and I can usually persuade one of them to come to a gig with me. My husband will definitely not want to go. I have months left to persuade somebody. But AIBU for being so excited?

Very exciting! Where is the gig? Perhaps someone on her who is close by will want to join you.

Jadedpersuaded · 15/06/2025 19:38

Which venue are you going to? We will see him next year!

I'd go see him if he appeared near me. He comes across as a lovely lad in articles etc.

Imgoingoutforawhile · 15/06/2025 19:44

Would you go alone?
I often go to gigs alone now as I got fed up of having to drag people along with me who didn’t really want to be there and having to pay for their ticket too!

MyCococo · 15/06/2025 19:45

Oh my god, I would come 😂 I love him 🖤

I wish I still got excited at the prospect of going to a gig. Crowds of people just irritate me (between the karaoke crowd, the waving of phones (in front of me the last time) and the physical pushing into my space (also the last time).

I'm really hope you have a great time.

Ah I get it, I'm in my 40s and I absolutely love him. I've managed to win my DH over with him too and he's in his 50s. Enjoy your excitement OP, I think you'll easily find a friend to go and you'll both have a brilliant night.

We've been to see him lots of times, all over the UK. My DD adores him. Her very first one, she was the youngest there (so security said) the people around us let her go to the front, made a barricade around her to keep her safe.
You'll never be alone at a Yungblud gig, the most inclusive friendly bunch.
Enjoy when the time comes, we've just bought our tickets for next year.

My husband just reminded me we got talking to a fella in the que for Bludfest, he was on his own then we met him hours later at the rides and he'd grouped up with others and was having a whale of a time
Be excited!!

I can't wait. Daughter has said she will come with me. I love a gig but do get seated tickets now rather than standing!
