Work do at the House of Lords?

I’ve been invited to an evening work reception at the House of Lords. I’ve been told the dress code is smart work wear.
I’ve been working from home since Covid and when we do go in the office, it’s fairly casual dress and trainers or black jeans etc.
Has anyone been to something similar before? These are the dresses I’ve looked at so far which I would pair with a black blazer and smart heels. I obviously want something I can wear again.
Am I on the right track?
I’m size 16, 5’3 and I would want below or on the knee and sleeves.

Yes all completely appropriate. I wouldn't over think it too much. Imagine you are meeting a client or if that's not usual then (sorry for reference) going to the funeral of an elderly aunt. Smart and clean and a bit on the conservative side (although you will always get all sorts and wouldn't be turned away for wearing trainers).

As the pp above says, those all look fine! Smart dress with blazer and heels would be perfect. Have a good time!

Agree about the blazer/tailored jacket making any outfit ‘smart work wear’. Heels not so much, they can look very dated but of course finding a ‘smart’ alternative is not just so easy. Good luck.
