Question about passport renewal and booking flights

So- I’m looking to book flights for next Spring eg March. Want to renew my 10 year passport well ahead of time (it runs out end of next May).
If I book EasyJet flights now for next March and then renew my passport this Nov/ Dec, will I be charged (eg by EasyJet)for changing my passport details?
Thanks!

No, you dont need to put your passport details iin until closer to the time so just wait and use your new ones

You don't need to add passport details until just before you fly. The only thing to consider is if you're changing your name in your new passport, make sure to book the flights in the new name as you will be charged for changing that.

I've done this recently, I got married only a year after getting a new passport so had to book flights in maiden name until that expired (too tight to get a new one before it ran out!) so booked flights in my 'new' name when I knew I was going to have my new passport.

Because I’ve flown with EasyJet a lot my passport details seem to be automatically in? Or I seem remember that they ask for them when booking- but as I fly a lot with them, from memory, I’m 99% sure they have them automatically stored?
Wont be changing name or anything like that.

If your details are stored can you not just log out and do it without an account?

Deerrobin · 10/06/2025 18:30

You can remove your saved details from your account before doing the booking then add the new ones when you’ve got them.

Thanks- will try that - hopefully I can keep the same account and remove my details
