I am looking at finally doing my level 4, and have 2 courses to choose from

Personally, having just completed a level 4 counselling course, I would always 100% choose to train at a proper college or university where courses are accredited by a national examining awarding body (ours was with AIM) rather than with a private training provider. I feel you have more safety regarding quality of provision being checked and verified by official bodies.

That first one has no details that I can find about their level 4. After the level 3, it says 'advanced specialisms' but that takes you to a generic search screen, unless I'm being dim. I'd want to know what units they teach, what type of teaching is involved, who their teachers are and how it's assessed.

The second one has more info, and details. But it would concern me that the only option is to pay. If you go to a college or uni then a nationally funded course would also potentially qualify for fee waivers or student loans, depending on your income and circumstances.
