To make other plans if I don’t hear back in time?

I try to make plans for my dc at the weekend and will text a mum to see if they are free but sometimes I don’t hear back for a day or two. In the meantime I might get an invitation with someone else or an opportunity to make other plans or invite other people so when I do hear back they have a double date.
AIBU to think if you don’t get back soon you can’t expect plans to either just involve you or for people to still be free.

I think if it’s two days later and you make other plans that’s fine.

Yeah that’s fine. Just say, I didn’t hear from you and I made other plans now. Nothing was set in stone. Merely a suggestion.

So how long would you leave it before making other plans of you hadn’t heard back from someone?

I'd give it 24 hours. Try texting earlier in the week as well. Then you'll get the organised ones.
