Post viral fatigue or stress?

Mums please help me. Mental health suffering!

Ive been unwell for about ten weeks. Started with a uti and viral chest infection. Followed by neuro symptoms (head and face pressure, sensitive skin, twitching) autonomic symptoms (hot and cold, fast heart rate, low blood sugar), lots of stress and tests.

the only things that were found were low ferritin low ish vitamin d, and thickening of my front sinuses (I had sinus pain about 5 weeks ago which eased with antibiotics so guessing this was also sinusitis).

Anyway, I’m still waking up each day with random symptoms which are impacting my daily life and mental health due to worry about long term illness that could impact my little kids. I would like to know whether I have post viral fatigue and need to build in serious pacing, or whether I’m actually suffering from stress and need other support.

The reason I’m so confused is that I can manage quite a bit physically without feeling the effects later in the day or the day after. I managed a ten day holiday abroad with my two young kids which I was dreading, but I managed fine and enjoyed myself. Everything felt manageable. Yet coming home, I’ve really struggled. I returned to work this week after four weeks off and on day three my arms were weak, I struggled in conversations. I’ve spent the last two days very emotional, googling, stressing, feeling so low.

i just need a bit of advice and support please.

thank you to anyone who can help with this

Don't underestimate low ferritin it really can make you feel terrible. You need some iron tablets and the weather is about to improve so be outside as much as possible

@feelingbleh thank you for replying! I’ve been on iron for just over a month now. The doctors said it can’t be that making me feel this bad for this long as my ferritin has likely always been low 😢 at the time of the UTI I also had a ten day period and prior to that had very heavy bleeds. I feel like I’m losing my mind to be honest not knowing what to do to get better.

My dr said the same to me but I can always tell when my ferritin is low
