Hi everyone, I just wanted to vent and ask some advice. I am usually someone who, when I go for an interview, get an offer for the job. However, since ending a temp contract end of March, I’ve been invited to 3 interviews and each went fine but I didn’t even make it to second stage (have yet to hear back from the latest). One provided feedback, which I made sure to work on for my latest interview. As soon as I walked it to the latest interview I felt the vibe was a bit off. I was grilled but I have a lot of technical knowledge in the field so didn’t get stuck with my answers.
At the end of the latest one, the hiring manager says there might be a second interview for the top two candidates on Monday, and that it would be over video call so I wouldn’t have to go into the office again and would that be okay with me, I thought it was a good sign and said yeah that’s great.
But I know they’d have gotten in touch with me today had they wanted me to attend. Is it unreasonable to me to be upset that she made that comment and didn’t follow up? What am I doing wrong? This role was like my bread and butter.
