I have so many I can’t even count them all. I had new ones spring up all the time, especially between ages 30-50. I rarely give them a second thought tbh, despite DH being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that spread from skin cancer to lymph nodes.
I saw something on TikTok about a place that does a body scan and then they analyse all your moles. I think Amanda Holden spoke about having one on her radio show a couple of days after I’d seen it. Would that be an option to put your mind at rest?

I’m a moley person and have had 10 Malignant Melanomas removed. I recommend mole mapping.

They use plenty of local anaesthetic, tbh I didn’t think too much about it, I just wanted them off. A couple on my shins and calves were a bigger deal as there wasn’t much skin there to stitch together.
Honestly the best thing is to be vigilant for any changes and to completely avoid sunbathing.

Yep, I would just mole map

With melanoma, the sooner it is found the better, so it's wise to be aware of your moles and any changes

I've got lots of freckles but not many moles and I mole mapped once but was told it wasn't really needed

MyDarlingWhatIfYouFly · 04/06/2025 18:59

This thread has reminded me that I had my moles mapped a couple of years ago - I have a lot of atypical moles and hundreds of moles in total.

I’m not actually sure what I should do with the map now! Do I just go back for a review at some point?

TheOpalFox · 04/06/2025 19:29

How often should you mole
map?
