Help - need wedding witnesses Bath this Friday 11 am

Posting in AIBU for traffic - urgently need 2 witnesses for our wedding in centre of Bath on Friday 06 June 2025 at 11 am. We are having a secret wedding on Friday, just the 2 of us as we've been together for ages and didnt want any fuss, but we are stressing about the idea of just grabbing 2 witnesses off the street. I know this has worked for people in the past so any lovely Bath mumsnetters out there fancy going to a wedding on Friday? Bonus points if you can chuck a bit of confetti on us as we come out!!

I would love to do this but a) I’m not in Bath and b) I have a meeting on Friday morning, but bumping for you.

I'd be nervous to leave it until the day in case you can't find anyone, but maybe you could get in touch with the registry office and ask if they're likely to have any staff available on the day to do this. I bet they've come across this situation before.

Are you planning on going to a particular pub/restaurant after for lunch? If so, why not contact them and ask if they can spare two staff members?

I'd be very happy to do it! I'm in North Somerset but not working that day and it would be a lovely excuse to have a day in Bath.
