Has anyone soundproof their semi detached to the point that they decided to never spend the extra £££ on a detached because the soundproof works so good?

Would love to know the answer to this from what I’ve researched. It takes at least 1 foot for proper soundproofing which puts me off. I think we are going to move to get away from the noisy neighbours

My friend had it done in her bedroom, Victorian terrace. They needed 15cm. She says it wonderful, like sleeping in a cocoon and she just wishes they could afford to do the whole house
