Mifepristone regret

BabyMama34 · 01/06/2025 04:30

I took mifepristone and regretted it after I've felt weak and had a tiny bit of bleeding and a small clot. I'm still in hopes that my baby is okay. Any advice?? Will my baby survive??

Did you take it orally or vaginally? You could try inducing vomiting (though I vomited unintentionally having taken it orally before and it still worked) or see if you can fish it out from downstairs… but it’s probably too late.

Just remember, if you went this far to have an abortion, you probably had really good reasons for doing so, and you can most likely get pregnant again in the future when it’s a better time to be having a child. Your hormones will make all your feelings really intense, but you’ll be okay soon. Hugs

It’s an abortifacient given to women under 10 weeks pregnant

Just read post above mine and realised how inappropriate mine was so have reported mine to be deleted.
I'm so sorry, OP. 💐
Hopefully further posters will be along to help support you.

That drug stops the pregnancy from progressing. Are you scheduled to then take Misoprostol? That one expels the pregnancy.
When did you take it, how far along were you (presumably less than 10 weeks)?
I’m sorry OP, at this point I don’t think it’s going to be a good outcome. Why did you take it if what it sounds like now you weren’t 100% on board with the outcome?

What’s the point in asking her that last part??

Because it’s more than likely done now, no going back. If OP had strong reasons to go ahead with this in the first place those reasons matter now even more than before.

You need to contact someone ASAP and ask for progesterone.

Flensburg · 02/06/2025 07:36

Hope you're okay 💐

mumofthreelittleones · 11/05/2026 16:37

Is there an update with this? I’m in the same position:(
hope all worked out for you

hazelnutvanillalatte · 11/05/2026 16:52

If you've just taken the first pill, the drop in progesterone could cause a mc on its own or the pregnancy could continue to progress - even if you have had spotting. There's a chance of both outcomes.

It can also cause intense emotions because it delivers a high dose of hormones which might be contributing to how you're feeling.

I think it's worth thinking about why you took the dose, and be kind to yourself whatever happens.

Good luck x
