Using the playground as a toilet

Took DC to the playground today. Noticed a mum taking her approx 3 year old for a wee next to where they were sitting. Thought it was pretty gross, it was right next to the path up to the slide.

About ten minutes later I noticed the girl having her bum wiped, then the mum picking ‘things’ up from the ground using baby wipes. The girl had clearly done a poo.

This was in the middle of the playground, not off
to the side. Directly in my line of sight. I only didn’t see her do it because I was watching my DC on the other side of the playground. There are public toilets a few minutes walk away, but if they weren’t local they might not have known that.

AIBU to think you take your kid to a toilet? And if there are none, you take them somewhere a bit more private? She was there with another and kid, so didn’t have to stay because of another child.

At least she picked it up I guess :/

Yes, absolute emergency, take them to the corner by a hedge or bush.

As said a hedge a bit out of the way is at a push acceptable, certainly not by a bench/pathway.

But....
Not much surprises me with some parents/carers today.

Had to take my 6 year old into the bushes for a wee the other week because the toilets were closed...under no circumstances would she be shitting in a playground!

That's revolting
