To ask if M&S will be doing their uniform event?

DD off to secondary school so will need completely kitting out and I have some vouchers so was planning on getting her some basics in their usual June sale.
But will they actually be selling anything online since June starts tomorrow? Our branch is very small and hardly has anything in most of the time

I don’t think anyone can know this. They have said that their website won’t be up until at least July. Perhaps they have been able to order any school uniform, perhaps not. My local M&S has stock, but very limited sizes. There is no ordering in store either.

Maybe they will have loads of things to sell off when everything finally gets back to normal and there will be a sale, or maybe people will be so excited to have them back everything will sell out quickly! I’ll be shopping there as much as I can to support them I think.

Normally, they have more uniform in store in the summer holidays, but not so much in the secondary school sizes.

I think the uniform sale is usually July. So you might need to wait a while too see if everything is sorted or not.

She's quite small so will be in the top end of primary school sizes.

You could save some money anyway and look on Facebook on the local second hand uniform groups. You'd be surprised just how much quickly outgrown, great condition blazers, jumpers skirts and trousers, pe kit etc turns up at this end of the year.

I've just looked at this. Last year the 20% off started 2/7.
I've got my fingers crossed that they do this offer again this year as I always use it to get school uniform and my youngest starts secondary school in September as well

They usually have a 20% offer on school clothing in July, I think it’s a few weeks before they break up for the Summer

I'm in Scotland (earlier holidays) so usually do my uniform shopping about now to make sure I get everything in stock. My local m&s is only food now and the range in the nearest city is very poor.

They're the only trousers I've found to fit my ds properly but we're not going to be able to get them this year.

I also need some of their extra deep bedsheets but that's not as important as school uniform!

This must be devastating for m&s, school uniform must be a big proportion of sales over summer. Will they survive it?

ive heard they are trading/going to trade via an ebay shop until the site is back up, maybe look there?

There is one for the school but she's very small and it's not very active - I can't see anything on there for her size and the last post was months ago anyway (and even looking for summer posts from last year there are so few).
I might check out the non-school FB groups though for the area around the school (it's a bus ride from us).
