I can’t work out where I’m just being reasonable or not. I have a work colleague who is very good at overstepping the mark with lots of people. I have been on annual leave and before I left I scanned in a document to my boss that wasn’t particularly private information but information she had no reason to be party to. I put it in my desk and was going to deal with it when I got back. I have access to my boss’s email account as I am his P.A.

I can see when going through his emails from my time off that she has obviously been through my drawers, found what I had put in there and scanned it and emailed it to my boss. He would deal with it and I did send it to him before I left to deal with but I’m pissed off she been through my desk drawers. Am I being petty? I feel (perhaps irrationally!) really annoyed!

Were the drawers locked? Do you hot desk or would she have any reason to be sitting at your desk? Is she your cover?

No. I have worked there for 10 years and never had to think about locking my drawers. It’s just not that type of office environment, although perhaps it is now. Lesson learned I guess!

Drawers weren’t locked, don’t hot spot, doesn’t cover me - just nosy! She had no reason to be at my desk. I know there are more pressing things in life, saying it out loud makes me realise I’m being a bit irrational! 🤦‍♀️

I don’t think it is irrational
if she wasn’t covering your work whilst you were off, didn’t need to hot desk at your desk / go through your papers, then she has massively over stepped
and yes, i would raise it

Yes this ^^

Also start locking your drawers especially with your bosses documents in them.

The other question is that when you were off did your boss ask her to send it to him again for some reason? Just ask her. If she said he asked her then say thanks for covering for me. If she said no the. Ask her why she did it.
