Really I should be at hospice with a very close loved one as she takes her last breaths…. My daughter has chicken pox, of course she is my priority, I’m exhausted, she’s exhausted but….. my partner telling me ‘it is what it is’ I agree don’t get me wrong but, help me with our child please 🤦🏻‍♀️
this is a rant! I have no one else to talk to 🤣

Why can't he look after her?

Endofyear · 28/05/2025 20:36

Isn't he capable of looking after your daughter while you go to be with your relative? Children are usually not too unwell with chicken pox, you can give calpol and antihistamine for the itching.

mentallyilltotallychill · 28/05/2025 20:36

Why is he not watching them? especially if youre still together.

Zanatdy · 28/05/2025 20:42

Sorry but he needs to step up. I’m sure he can manage. That would be the final straw for me if he was denying me the chance to be with a loved one at the end of life. How could you move on from that?

BookArt55 · 28/05/2025 20:45

Honestly, if he can't prioritise you and your child during such a big moment... then run now. And I say that knowing I was in the exact same situation, didn't run, and the resentment was always there. It was the beginning of me noticing all of the things she did where his needs were always more important.

Hope your daughter feels better and I hope you can be there for your loved one.
