DS and Recurring fever

Posting for traffic and advice!! I’m also getting increasingly frustrated with this situation and not sure if it’s the nursery or gp or neither.

For the last few weeks my DS 13 months is being sent home almost every day from nursery with a fever. He’s fine in the morning but by 4pm we have a call to collect him.

In the last week he has actually been ill at home too, which we’ve put down to his MMR vaccine as he also had a bad measles rash. The vaccine was two weeks ago now and his fever seemed to have cleared up by yesterday (day off nursery).

They've now called to say it’s up to 39 again and can we collect him. I’ve taken him to the doctor at the weekend who couldn’t find any infection.

So what do I do? Believe my DS has been spiking a fever every day for 3 weeks and take him back to a dr or take it up with nursery? He mostly seems fine when we collect him but they do give Calpol.

If they’re taking his temperature in the first place, presumably that means he displays other symptoms which mean they’re prompted to get the thermometer out - have they documented what those are, when they happen, and what the changes are between you dropping him off apparently well and cheerful, and the symptoms displaying themselves?

Does he ever spike a temperature outside of nursery - weekends, holidays? If not then I’d be possibly suspecting some sort of allergy to or reaction as a response to something at nursery.
