To ask for topless dream interpretation?

Last night dreamt I was topless in public with a friend at a buffet.

when I suddenly realised I was topless I asked if I could borrow one of her clothing items to cover my modesty.

Did you maybe see the (ridiculous) trans topless protest near Downing St yesterday? Maybe even in your subconscious?

I think of dreams as a way of the brain making sense of your day and tidying things up. They tend to be a mixture of things you have done/seen/heard about/read about or things you're looking forward to/worried about.

Could be the mad moobs protest.

Could be an anxiety dream if there's something coming up which you are worrying up because it will make you feel exposed eg having to do an important presentation at work.

Hmm… first thing that comes to my mind is at a buffet, there’s food on offer, you’re invited to take what you want. Breasts can also be for nourishment but are not offered up to all comers. Do you feel someone’s overstepping their boundaries with you? Is the friend someone who seems good at being clear with others about her limits?

Being naked in public is a very common dream, it usually signifies anxiety or a fear of being judged.

I would have thought it was about not realising you were exposed or had inadvertently revealed something you didn't intend to.

IMO it’s an excellent tool.

This is one of the most common recurring dreams there is. Most people at some point will dream that they are either undressed or very inappropriately dressed in public. It's just a standard anxiety dream - subconsciously we all fear being exposed/embarrassed like that. It doesn't have any deeper meaning.

How did you feel when you realised you were topless, and straight after?
For me it signifies a fear of incompetence and not being able to cope - I always go straight to how the hell did I manage to get as far as bring in public with no trousers on?
