How do you make a job work if you don't like it?

I am a nurse, working in ICU, I left a job I loved in ICU for a promotion that just didn't work, I have bounced around and have now ended up in another ICU - I have the hours I want - I am paid well - I have flexibility - I have study leave - I have everything I want - I just don't like the unit - the staff and its not really very ICU - more like HDU.

I am in a way stuck as I don't want to work full time, want flexibility ward work gives me, but don't want to work on a ward

I have tried just going in doing my job and coming home but the issue has so many issues, its horrible, its hard not to get caught up.

How do I make it work

I have left twice so feel a bit daft going back a third time
Also there would have to be a job and I would have to interview for it
