I’ve just been offered a new role at a fairly small family owned company. During the interview process, there was no mention of it being a contract role, but I’ve now found out its being offered as initially 6 months with the possibility of going permanent.
On the plus side, I had been thinking about going travelling next year, so if it doesn't go permanent, this might actually work out well timing-wise. But at the same time, I’m wondering how likely it really is for these kinds of roles, especially at smaller companies, to become permanent.
Has anyone else been in a similar position? Did your short-term role turn into something longer-term?
