Sainsbury's roses - are they dyed?

AIBU to find the colours really virulent and somewhat unwholesome? Surely they can't actually grow like that.

If they are dyed, it will show in the leaves.

My husband bought me Lillie's from there once that had been dyed (they were very pretty)

Some of their flowers are definitely (and very obviously) dyed, which I hate. I don't think it's necessarily the roses specifically, though? I'm sure they might do some dyed ones but most of the ones I've seen don't look dyed really. I've definitely seen other dyed flowers in there though.

It's not unique to Sainsbury's - most supermarkets sell some flowers that are dyed.

What I really hate is the spray-painted heathers some garden centres sell. That's pure deception.

Cut flowers will mostly be dead by the time the dye grows out, but a living plant ought to remain the colour you bought.
