Hi all.
Ive had various lipomas appear on my body over the years.
However ive very recently had 3 appear on my face.
To say I’m distraught is an understatement.
Has anyone had this and had them successfully treated?
I know they are hereditary but it’s my bloody face!

Yes. I have way over 100 that I can count right now and have had 60+ removed. The only way to get rid of them is with surgery. Liposuction isn't indicated with lipomas. They always point out that you will replace a bump with a scar, but it's a trade-off I like. I had one in my chin--the surgeon went in from the underside so the scar is hard to see. They are unsightly but nothing at all to worry about in terms of cancer.

Thanks for the reply…did you get them removed privately?

I had one on my hairline. My GP runs a skin clinic at his surgery (he’s a bit of a closet Dr Pimple Popper!) and he removed it for me. All free on the NHS so I’d ask your GP as the first port of call.

Sorry, I am in the US, so I can't speak to the NHS angle. I watch, "Save My Skin," and Dr. Emma does lots of lipoma excisions. Some people say their GP won't do it, so they end up with her. She's in London. A lot of dermatologists/plastic surgeons here don't like to take out lipomas--too boring for them🙄
