does anyone else feel completely invisible all of the time? Just in the past week these things have happened to me. I brought a couple of packs of sweets into the office, mentioned as I came in for people to help them selves, only 2 people said thanks . All sweets completely demolished within a day, about 30 people in the office.
I have lost a lot of weight recently…. The only people that have noticed is my partner and mother. I have gone from a size 14 to a size 10 in about 6 months. I was at a neighbors house tonight and they were all gushing over another neighbour that “had lost so much weight” size 10 to a size 8 ish “ ….. we are all getting together for a small street party as the weather has been so good, one neighbour suggested a fire. They were asking who had firewood, on 3 occasions I said I had firewood and kindling but was completely ignored…..

I sometimes feel like that . Like at work a group of people are talking and when I talk no one comments or just talk over me . I’m not a quiet or shy person but it makes me not want to join in the conversations .

I try to not be noticed. I don’t like people commenting on my weight.
I don’t know why you were ignored about the fire. Did you not just say ‘I’ll go get them’ rather than waiting?

This is what I should have done, I just was so surprised at no one acknowledging me. I will do this in future tho.

That’s exactly what happens to me all the time, I can never understand it. If I was in a group and someone spoke I would always acknowledge it . I’m sorry you go through this also x

I think with the weight loss people might be hesitant to mention it unless you open it up as a topic of conversation first? I wouldn't generally comment on someone's weight, in case it wasn't intentional/due to illness etc. I'd wait for them to say anything first.

But for the other things, I do know what you mean. If I don't feel I'm being listened to, I tend to not want to keep speaking. It is very frustrating to just feel glossed over.
