Driving me mad.
Nice, sunny day, I decide to paint the garden bench and my Dcs wooden garden things to do them up a bit.
I bought some chalk paint in a lovely colour and new brushes a while ago in preparation. Just a little project for me and I find it relaxing.
Dh was out with Dc this morning and I was halfway through painting, nice and peaceful in the garden, my music on quietly.
Dh comes along and starts to loudly sand the bench down (hadn’t got around to bench yet)
I go in to get some lunch as the sanding noise goes through me. I go back out and he’s taken over the piece of furniture I was halfway through, going over bits i’d done, presumably as I’d done them wrong. I said I was doing that, he said he was just doing a bit as misses painting, ok, so I said that he could maybe do the bench then as I was halfway through it. He started on the bench and I continued on my piece. He started to complain how thick the paint was and how we should water it down, I said that it was chalk paint and was supposed to be like that, he started to say how he’d done it hundreds of times and knew what he was doing. I just ended up putting my brush down and coming inside, so my nice, relaxing hobby is done for today.
