I've said for a long time John Lewis is my spiritual home....

I used to love the calm and order in John Lewis! Saved me for a while 😂

If there is a heaven, it is Ikea.

OMJL, I can't agree - IKEA is quite literally purgatory!

Are you kidding? There's no way out of IKEA! It gives a lot of people panic attacks.

I agree with you, OP. Lovely clothes, lovely furniture, lovely perfume and make-up departments, everything is calm.

Brilliant! Love this OP

Haha I love this. I absolutely adore John Lewis. Their stores are so inviting, staff are friendly, always keen to help & knowledgeable (in my experience). When I bought my home with DH, I would say 90% of our furniture, appliances and white goods came from John Lewis and we’ve had minimal issues and when we did have an issue - it was dealt with appropriately.

Very fortunate I live in a town where there still is a John Lewis store, (and Waitrose) which is handy as I rather do C&C for next delivery pickup than support Amazon.

The true retreat is Homesense. That place is better than a therapy session.
