MINI rattling - what could it be?

Yesterday I bought a lovely 2021 plate automatic MINI and I love it. It’s a joy to drive. As I was driving it yesterday evening it started rattling quite loudly. It’s coming from inside rather from the engine and it seems to be in the middle of the dash area. I’m not sure if it’s sensitive to slightly raggedy road surfaces.

Has anyone else experienced this among those of you who drive a MINI? It’s my first one so I’ve no prior reference.

Alloy wheel nuts in the glove box?
When my car stunk of eggs dh (car freak) took it quite to bits.
Then found a rouge hard boiled egg under the driver's seat!
Sometimes it can be the absolute obvious..

So if your husband didn’t know how to take a car to bits you may have been lumbered with the pong. Lucky he did know!

it’s not wheel nuts as there’re in the boot. I dunno, it just sounds like it’s coming from the fittings.
