Anyone can learn to cook simple healthy meals.
What do you like to eat?
Try learning one meal a week and build up a range of basic meals.
The batch lady has some great ideas that don't require much time or skill.

I’ve recently borrowed a pinch of nom book from the library. All in one pan or tray meals. So far we’ve had lamb meatballs and salmon and bulgar wheat. Yum!
I also batch cook. Loads of curry and then freeze in portions.

You could start with a few easy to sort out meals. Tuna and pasta salad ,baked potato ,tuna and sweetcorn and salad and build up from things like that. Home cooked meals tend not to add the calories like takeaway meals do.

Try Gousto or hello fresh
No more expensive that takesways and lots of simple step by step recipes to follow

Have a look at places like Mindful Chef or Prep Kitchen who take the hard work out of it for you. MC do a range of frozen meals, but they’re significantly healthier than fast food or takeaways, list calories and macros for you so very easy to track what you’re eating. I always have a few in the freezer for cba days to stop me reaching for the pizza or takeaway order. They also do recipe boxes, and I’d highly recommend these! It all comes ready and all you have to is cook it. Hello Fresh or Gusto do them too, for example. You can also try some simple meal prepping - make a big batch of salad in a tub in the fridge to last a few days, cook some chicken breast/salmon fillets to have cold, and grab a packet of 2 minute brown microwave rice, or those microwave baby potatoes. Split the packets over a couple of days. There you have chicken, salad and rice thrown together in minutes to feed you 2-3 meals.

Mounjaro!
I also cook from fresh too though and stay within calorie deficit but it makes it soooo much easier.
Trouble with Gousto is they give you the cals but don't include things like oil & butter which they tell you to add most the time and this usually adds on a fair few calories if you're not careful. Tiktok is brilliant for inspiration as well and you can easily save recipes.
