To sell wedding rings for new?

Got married in 2013. Lost weight and had to have engagement and wedding rings re-sized. Had DD1 few years later. Lost lots of weight after pregnancy so had to have rings re-sized again. 2nd pregnancy 5 years ago, put on weight and haven't been able to lose. I'm comfortable as I am now anyway. Haven't worn rings since last pregnancy because they're too small and can't be re-sized any more because too much was taken off previously.

AIBU to sell them and get a new wedding ring? Husband thinks I should be more attached but he's not too bothered. They're just gathering dust because I can't wear them!

YABU - keep the rings you ungrateful cow
YANBU - sell them and get new sparkles!

Can you keep them and get a new ring anyway? Doesn’t have to be super expensive.

Our local jewellers can incorporate the gold from your wedding ring into a new one. He can also create a brand new shank to set engagement ring stone in. So really you will still have your rings.

I’ve just used my wedding band which was quite broad to make a narrower wedding band and thicken the shank of the eternity ring I have, so wedding band is still the same gold but looks different.

My eternity ring shank needs thickening. Had my engagement ring thickened years ago.

I am on 3rd wedding ring and 1st DH. Married 50 years. It’s not the ring that matters it’s the marriage!

Don't sell them. Go to an independent jeweller who can make them into new rings for you.

I definitely wouldn't sell it, I'd get it melted down and made into a new one if it can't be sized.
